Just Another Day in (Doggie) Paradise

It was another beautiful day for Molly's second trip to Fort Funston in San Francisco. Brogan and I headed to the SF Antiques Fair (Molly had to wait patiently in the car) and then it was off to the beach where fun was had by all.

Molly didn't find too many birds to chase this time out, but she has discovered a love for digging with Brogan. Or more specifically, hanging out in the holes that Brogan digs.

The end of the day totally pooped her out and she's been laying my arms (yes, while I type) on her back with her mouth open snoring. Tired dog!

Hard to believe, but this little bundle of lovin' is still available for adoption.

The Big Guy is ALL RIGHT!

Well, it was about time. Molly has finally decided that Brogan is A-OK in her book and I've found her snuggling with him when she can't snuggle with me. She likes to sit on his legs which I find humorous for various reasons, not the least of which that her head is smaller than his foot. Also their feet are exactly the same color and shape. Ooo, I'm so in love.

Oh, yes... she's still for adoption, but that doesn't mean I don't get to love her up while she's here. :-)

A New Name and Some Serious Fun!

First of all, "Breezy" is now officially going to be known here as Molly. She knows both names, but for some reason she only COMES to Molly, so that's been her at home name. If you're coming here from Petfinder, just think of Molly as Breezy's stage name (or vice versa). Same adorable little girl!

Secondly, Miss Molly has been having WAY too much fun. From play dates to marching in parades to trips to Fort Funston, Molly has been on the move. Here are some photos to document her latest adventures!

I am learning German, so Molly has come to my conversation sessions for the last two weeks. My tutor's wonderful young daughter has been helping introduce Molly to kids and also took this photo. Her aunt is a professional photographer... maybe a good snap is in Maike's genes? (Thanks, Maike!)

Here's Molly during a play session with an adopted CARE dog, Louie, who is only 12 weeks old here. Molly kept Louie busy for HOURS and rolled all over the house and garden with him.

Now we get to the really good stuff: the Fourth of July Parade in Aptos with super dog walking group Woofers and Walkers out of Santa Cruz. Brogan, Molly and I all showed our support for Whitney, Gigi and the W&W crew. Here is Rusty's mom Marilyn holding Molly. Both girls are looking lovely in their outfits.

And here's our view as marchers in the parade. Brogan worked the substantial crowd while Molly just enjoyed the walk. Maybe she's used to adulation?

We wrapped the weekend up with a trip to Fort Funston, the Disneyland for dogs. Molly LOVES running after birds and here she is flying down the beach back to me after a run after a crow. Look at those ears!

Mmmm... I think we need to see those a bit closer.

And what's a trip to the beach without digging a BIG hole? Molly digs alongside Sophie, another CARE dog adopted by a great CARE foster home.

OK, so Molly's not in this photo, but I couldn't resist: here's Brogan (rescue Rottie and unoffical CARE greeter), and 'sisters' Daisy and Sophie (both CARE rescues) having soooo much fun at the beach.
